Unleashing His Inner Artist
Our Mommy & Me class arranged a field trip to The Art Zone where children are free to be as creative and messy as they like. Nico began by making a pattern in a square of clay using small beads, a fun way to develop fine-motor skills.
The next activity that captured his attention involved rolling a small truck in a paint tray.
Once the wheels were covered in paint to Nico's satisfaction, he placed the truck at the top of a ramp covered in paper and let it roll.
The trucks left tracks of paint in their wake making a cool pattern.
For his final project, Nico sprayed some windows with watercolor paint and wiped them with a squeegee. We could have spent all morning there but our time was up. I think we may have to return sometime this summer for more art projects.
