Counter Intelligence

Today is the day we've been anticipating for the past week because today our new countertops arrive.

The first step was to install a plywood base. Next the skilled workmen cut out the sink template, carefully adhered our Eco by Cosentino countertop in place and dropped in the sink.

Ta Da! Our sparkling new countertops, sparkling literally because they are made using 75% post consumer recycled mirrors. We were motivated to make our kitchen remodel as eco-friendly as possible given that we want to create a sustainable future for our boys.

Hi, Sorry to intrude on your pretty family's blog to ask about your countertop....but I'd like to ask about your countertop :)
I've only found one other review online from someone who actually got an Eco and it mentioned scratches/divots. (http://www.igreenspot.com/eco-by-cosentino-green-countertops/)

Have you had any problems? Do you LOVE it? It looks like you've only had it a month or so but I really want one too! Thank you so much for your time, Tina in Texas

Tina,

The short answer is that yes, we love the countertops and have not had any problems to date with scratches or divots. We have found them easy to maintain. I did a lot of research before selecting this product line and found Eco to have the highest recycled content at the most affordable price. Other products were at least twice as expensive putting them completely out of our budget. The company has a long track record in Europe. Good luck in your search!
